Capozza is a board-certified pediatric dentist and follows all the most current, evidence-based oral health practices.
Dr.
Capozza also utilizes kid-friendly language, gathered from her training and experience, to promote a calming, positive experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet, check-in and check-out patients, verifying their information and insurance coverage - Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Open Dental software - Collect and process patient and insurance payments, including insurance co-pays and deductibles - Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation of treatment plans - Assist with treatment coordination, explaining procedures, costs, and financing options to patients - Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed - Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality - Collaborate with the dental team to provide excellent patient service and ensure a smooth workflow Skills:
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft - Knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy protocols Note:
Experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
