Bryan Equipment is looking for a critical resource to join the IT team. This individual will be the go to person for report generation to answer business questions throughout the organization. The right individual will have the skills to understand our core database, utilize the Cognos reporting tools, analyze current conditions, and make informed business decisions.
The position demands a superior ability to ascertain and document business requirements, determine where and how data is to be retrieved, and create the best solution and delivery method. This is a high visibility position charged with making a significant positive impact to the IT customer information retrieval and analysis experience. Additionally, you will be responsible for:
Translating the business information requirements into easily understood deliverables
Meeting with all interested parties including employees, customers, and vendors to gather business goals, requirements, and needed data.
Analyzing currently available and potentially accessible data to determine the best most accurate source of information
Maintaining and enhancing the data warehouse through importing, cleaning, transforming, validating, and modeling data
Developing reports, spreadsheets, data extracts, dashboards and other deliveries of information
Candidate should enjoy being a self-motivated team player who does what it takes to get the job done, and have:
Proven capability of utilizing Cognos, Crystal Reports, SQL Server, MS Access, Visual Studio or other data analysis and report generation tools (Cognos skills preferred)
Solid technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
Superior analytical and critical thinking skills
Experience developing using any/all of the following: ASP, ASP.net, MS Office Suite, VB, C#, and VBScript
Bachelor degree and 2 years related experience and/or training.
