Inventory Control Manager

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for managing inventory globally so as to maximize inventory turns, minimize days-on-hand, and minimize write-offs. This person provides support and leadership for all aspects of inventory control and liaises with all departments that impact inventory.
Position Responsibilities
Develop and implement purchasing and inventory control procedures and sequence of operations within Cold Jet to optimize inventory flow as well as ensure inventory accuracy and correct use of systems.
Review weekly inventory trends and discusses variations with appropriate staff member.
Analyze data of inventory flow through system to identify opportunities for improvement in inventory flow and inventory turns.
Recommend the replenishment of inventory as required by production schedules and/or customer orders while minimizing inventory, carrying cost and the use of premium transportation.
Recommend measures to continually improve methods, performance, cost and quality of products and services and suggest changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.
Review data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations.
Position Requirements
Must be computer literate with strong ERP/MRP skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional ethics, tact and courtesy in dealing with vendors and global Cold Jet offices.
Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Kanban systems.
Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy.
Able to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies.
Good reasoning and problem solving skills.
Able to sit, stand bend, crouch, reach and lift up to 30 lbs.
Willing to travel to outlying facilities in the US and around the world

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
